Car Accidents in Las Vegas
Although you might not be to blame for your accident, you still have to notify your insurance carrier. Most policies require you to report any accident, regardless of fault. Choosing not to report it can render some benefits void. If you have questions pertaining to your recent car accident, a Las Vegas personal injury attorney can assist you in handling this or any other portion of the claims process.
Due to the fact that Nevada is a fault-based state, insurance carriers establish fault by conducting independent investigations into the cause of an accident.
The process includes inspecting the vehicle for damage, examining pictures of the crash site, taking statements from eyewitnesses, reviewing medical records and bills related to injuries, and going over the police report. An insurance adjuster will take all of this information into account, and create a report saying who they think was at fault.
