During law school, Laura served on the board of La Voz, the Latino Law Student Association, and on the Board of the Immigrant Rights Coalition. She graduated with the Highest Pro Bono Honors distinction, completing over 100 hours of pro bono legal work. She currently serves as Director of Outreach for the Nevada Latino Bar Association.
Laura is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is a first-generation Mexican-American and the first attorney in her family.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Leo and Bobbi. She also enjoys traveling, shopping, and collecting vintage handbags.
